The Best and Booziest Desserts for National Amaretto Day

Booze-based holidays seem especially important to celebrate the right way at this current moment in our lives, now more than ever if you ask me. So as we scour the internet for any excuse to 'celebrate,' we find that today, April 19th, is National Amaretto Day, and we view this highest of holidays with the utmost respect by sharing (and baking and eating) these delicious, almond-y, boozy recipes made with the guest of honor, Amaretto Liqueur.

Chocolate Amaretto Mousse

Super rich, super chocolately, super French, and full of Amaretto, this decadent boozy dessert takes only 10 minutes to make and 10 seconds to devour.

Chocolate Amaretto Bars

A buttery chocolate chip cookie base, almond amaretto filling and delicate chocolate drizzle give our Chocolate Almond Amaretto cake balls a run for their delicious money (but it's still no surprise which is our favorite!)

Dark Chocolate Amaretto Cake Bites

This no-bake recipe is perfect for the week and a half of spring that we have before the scorching hot NYC summer rears its sweaty head. And with almond butter, cocoa, almond flour, almond extract, maple syrup, dark chocolate, and Amaretto, it's also vegan! Wins all around!

Amaretto Zabaglione

Hard to say, easy to make - this Italian custard, whipped into light submission, gets an almond twist with the boozy splash of Amaretto.
