So to be completely honest, St. Patrick’s Day scares me a bit. Especially living in the city. Double especially, the fact that SPD is on a Saturday this year. While this concept is great in theory, I feel like St. Patrick’s Day as we know it today has become one of those “holidays” where people forget what it really stands for and just get black. out. trashed.
Call me new-fashioned, but I prefer to eat my alcohol. So where will I be two weeks from today? In my kitchen. What will I be doing? Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day the best way I know how- by baking one of these 8 deliciously boozy and decadent desserts fit for any man credited with driving the snakes out of Ireland.
The “nutty” in these cupcakes comes from the Frangelico hazelnut liquor. The “awesome” comes from that plus Baileys Irish Cream plus Kahlua.
Add some Andes Mints to garnish this green, minty, boozy pie and you have one dessert definitely not getting pinched on the 17th.
