5 Desserts for National Peanut butter and Jelly (and Booze) Day

Today, April 2nd, is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. Why is this even a holiday? Apparently the average American will eat over 2,000 PB&J sandwiches by the time they graduate high school. Peanut butter and jelly are a superhero duo, a national treasure, and a celebration of childhood and all things nostalgic.

While classic PB&J never gets old regardless of your age, you can make the pairing more adult (aka more boozy) with these 5 liquored-up peanut butter and jelly desserts.

I don’t know who Jeanette is but homegirl knows how to make a milkshake- and that’s with strawberry ice cream, creamy peanut butter (although I’d be tempted to try crunchy?) and 3 shots of bourbon. But don’t get too excited, the three shots are meant to be spread out across 4 servings. Theoretically, at least…

Peanut Butter and Jelly Boozy Milkshake

There is absolutely nothing in this recipe that I am not 1000% on board with. We’re talking a peanut butter cookie crust. A Frangelico and peanut butter filling. A raspberry jam AND raspberry liqueur topping. Top to bottom, beginning to end, all of this is ultimate boozy perfection.

Boozy Peanut Butter and Jelly Tart

Okay this just makes me laugh because the only thing that makes this boozy is a shot of pb&j vodka literally placed in a shot glass on top of the cupcake. But it gets the job done, so no complaints here.

Deep Fried PB&J Cupcake with Peanut Butter Vodka

Yes this is the second boozy milkshake on the list, but hear me out. Consider re-freezing the shake and making it the middle of a peanut butter and jelly ice cream sandwich, sandwiched between 2 peanut butter cookies, like this heavenly recipe does. You’ll thank me for posting two milkshake recipes, I promise.

Boozy PB&J Milkshake

If you drink this Frangelico and Chambord liqueur PB&J shot after dinner it definitely counts as dessert.
