Come on down, Come on down, It's (Boozy) Cookie Time…

Forget Christmas- it’s Girl Scout Cookie Season, the LEGIT most wonderful time of the year. And here’s why:

  1. When you buy Girl Scout cookies, you’re helping provide new and unique experiences for girls to learn essential leadership skills. And while that’s more than enough of a reason why, the list keeps growing...

  2. It no doubt calls to mind one of the best movies of all time- Troop Beverly Hills (“what a thrill!”) Thank you, Shelley Long, for bringing that movie into my life.

“It's khaki wishes and cookie dreams!”

3. Cookies cookies Tagalongs cookies Tagalongs more cookies Thin Mints are over-rated it’s all about the Tagalongs.

So sure, buy Girl Scout cookies (but not the Tagalongs, I call dibs) and support young women. But then, eat the cookies and celebrate the joys of being an adult. Here’s how…

Tagalong Bourbon Shake

Did I mention Tagalongs are everything? Blend them up with some ice cream and 1 (or 2, or 3…) shots of bourbon for everything times infinity and beyond.

Samoa Cookie Shot

Well I’ve eaten all the Tagalongs so let’s move on to Samoas. This caramel and toasted coconut-covered cookie takes on liquid form with caramel vodka, hot fudge, toasted coconut, and perfection.

Savannah Smiles Lemontini

The zesty lemon flavored cookies make for a perfect shaken, not stirred, martini with citron vodka, Cointreau and fresh lemon juice. Coat the rim with powdered sugar for the ultimate nod to the lovely Savannah.

Branca Menta Thin Mint Cookie

I guess I can’t get through this post without sharing at least one Thin Mint-inspired booze-filled treat. Personally, I know Tagalongs kick Thin Mint’s butt any day of the week, but for the 99% of the world that doesn’t agree with me, here’s a chocolate cookie recipe that guest stars the Italian mint liqueur Branca Menta for a more adult-appropriate peppermint twist.
